Titan Italia has officially introduced its innovative LW profile rims for tractors, marking a significant advancement in wheel design. The new profile geometry is engineered to simplify tire mounting while improving operational safety and performance.
Unveiled for the first time by the Titan Group, the LW profile requires approximately 30% less pressure to mount tires compared to traditional rim profiles. This unique design allows the tire bead to slide into place smoothly and securely, eliminating the mechanical stress commonly associated with tire installation.
One of the key indicators of this improvement is the absence of the typical “pop” sound, which usually occurs when the tire bead snaps into its final position on conventional rims. The LW geometry reduces the risk of incorrect bead seating—a critical factor in avoiding vibrations during high-speed road travel and preventing slippage under heavy torque in demanding field conditions.
These benefits translate into higher safety standards, reduced risk of tire damage, and lower operational costs. Tire mounting times can be cut by up to 30%, contributing to greater efficiency. The LW profile will first be available on Titan’s variable-track “waffle” rims, already trusted on the latest generation of high-performance tractors.
